How to Know if Emails from LCC are Legitimate

There are a lot of malicious email messages these days. There are also several ways that you can verify the validity of an email from Lower Columbia College and know whether or not it is official.

  • We will not ask you to provide personal information through email.
  • Some email messages are recorded in our knowledge base at if they are known to be legitimate. You can search the knowledge base for "Email (valid)" to find these messages.
  • Any site whose domain name ends in lowercolumbia.edu (i.e. helpdesk.lowercolumbia.edu, services3.lowercolumbia.edu) is owned and managed by Lower Columbia College.
