How to Use Keyboard Shortcuts to Move Open Windows

In Microsoft Windows, you can move Windows (program) across the screen(s) using the keyboard arrows keys.

When moving a Window (program) across your screen(s), they will move in the following manner. As you keep pressing an arrow keep, the window will move to the next size, depending on which arrow key you use.

Moving A Window (program)
  • left/right arrows
    • 1/2 the screen (left or right)
    • (if multiple monitors) next screen
    • normal size
  • up arrow
    • maximized (full screen)
  • down arrow
    • normal size
    • minimized
